The Create Your Future Scholarship is designed to support aspiring creatives (just like you!) who are eager to pursue their dreams! Win $15,000, $10,000, or $5,000 towards tuition at one of Canada’s top arts and technology colleges.

Eligibility Details
Applicants to the Create Your Future Scholarship must:
- Be a Canadian citizen in Grade 12, and
- Be eligible to start a full-time College program in October 2025 by fulfilling our regular, full-time admission requirements, and
- Submit an online Application Form no later than Monday, June 30th, 2025, for an October 2025 full-time College program.
- Submit a Create Your Future Scholarship portfolio (details by program below) no later than Monday, June 30th, 2025.
How to Apply
STEP 1 – Apply to Full-Time Program
Complete the online application form, ensuring all required fields are completed accurately.
Note – the Application form must be completed BEFORE submitting your Create Your Future Portfolio.
STEP 2 – Submit Your Portfolio
After completing the Full-Time Application form, your next step is to submit your scholarship portfolio. Using the program-specific portfolio guidelines noted below, upload your scholarship portfolio in a zipped folder to the Portfolio Upload form below.
Portfolio Details
Please use the correct list as it corresponds to your program of application. All finished pieces must be in a zipped folder with the naming convention of YOUR FIRST NAME_YOUR LAST NAME_CYF PORTFOLIO2025. The maximum allowable folder size is 100MB. When you have your zipped folder ready, upload it to the SUBMIT PORTFOLIO form below.
2D Animation & Digital Art
Note – a portfolio is already part of the regular program requirements for the College’s 2D Animation program. 2D Animation program applicants may choose to use their regular admissions portfolio for scholarship consideration. Optionally, 2D applicants MAY ALSO submit the following for scholarship consideration. Preference in judging will NOT be given to applicants who submit BOTH admissions and scholarship portfolio.
- One perspective drawing of a room in your house or school
- One drawing of an animal
- One drawing of a human (can be partial, but must include head and face)
- Two additional pieces of personal artwork of your choosing (drawings, paintings, digital art, process sketches etc.)

3D Animation
- One perspective drawing of a room in your house or school

Acting for Film & Television
- Record a video of yourself no longer than 3 minutes. Video should be a close-up of yourself acting with an offscreen partner or solo as a monologue. Video needs to show TWO different scenes that showcase your acting range and display different emotions between scenes. Emotions to consider include comedy, tragedy, love, hatred, horror, mystery, etc. Videos recorded on smartphones are acceptable.

Graphic Design
- Three digital samples of your creative design work. These could include but are not limited to logo designs/branding, typography, yearbook design, vision board/mood board or digital collage.
- Two additional pieces of personal artwork of your choosing (drawings, paintings, digital art, process sketches etc.)

Interior Design
- One still life drawing showing overlapping object including shadows and shading (must be done using pencil, black ink, or paint)
- One sketch of a chair in 3D perspective, done in pencil, showing shading
- One abstract composition. Using paper, create an abstract composition of forms and shapes. The composition must be two-toned and fit on a sheet of 8.5×11 paper. Photograph your composition and submit photograph.
- 2 additional pieces of your choosing– examples of your creative skills such as sketches, drawings, models, pottery, poster design, drafting, painting, film, video, website design, or other types of creative visual communication. Photographs of pieces or digital files are acceptable.

Professional Filmmaking
- One 3-5 minutes video or short film you are proud of. All genres are welcome and can include but are not limited to an interview, mini-documentary, action piece, music video etc.
