Diploma Ceremony

The ceremony will take place on Friday, September 25th, 2026, at the Kelowna Community Theatre (1375 Water Street, Kelowna). The ceremony starts at 2 pm. Please watch this page and your email for final schedule details.

All graduates must register to attend the ceremony. Please register through the form below.

Once you have registered, you will be prompted to create your online account for the Box Office to claim and purchase tickets. Guests can purchase their own tickets, but they will need your email and password for the Online Box Office.

Graduates will be provided with a graduation cap to wear during the diploma ceremony.

FAQs

When and where will grad take place?
Your graduation ceremony will take place on Friday, September 25th, 2026 at the Kelowna Community Theatre (1375 Water Street, Kelowna). The ceremony starts at 2 pm. Please watch this page and your email for final schedule details.
When and how do I register to attend the graduation ceremony?
Graduate registration for the ceremony will be done online on this page. Registration is now open. Graduates who would like to attend the diploma ceremony must register through the form below.
Will I receive a schedule for the day of graduation and when will I receive it?
Yes, all graduates will receive a schedule by email in early September.
How many guests can I bring?
Each graduate can claim four free guest tickets. and if desired, can also purchase additional guest tickets for $20.00 each. Once all graduates have had a chance to claim/purchase their guest tickets, we may open tickets up again for grads to claim additional guest seats. Tickets will be available through the Kelowna Community Theatre Box Office.
Will all my guests need tickets? Even small children?
All children need tickets. 3 and under will be free tickets, 4 and up will be charged at the full ticket price.
Will I be able to sit with my guests during the ceremony?
No. All graduates will be sat near the front of the theatre in a specific processional order. It is important you stay in the lineup order provided. Guests will be seated behind the graduate section.
Is there a dress code for the grad ceremony event?
All graduates will be provided with a graduation cap to wear during the ceremony. The rest of your attire is up to you!
Will I have an opportunity to have a grad portrait taken?

Yes, graduate portraits will be offered on campus in the days leading up to the ceremony. Grad portraits will be taken on campus on Wednesday, September 23rd, and Thursday, September 24th. Times TBC.

A full cap and gown regalia will be available for you to wear for your portrait. You will need to pre-book a timeslot. An email will be sent to you when photography registration opens.

I will be unable to attend my graduation this year. Can I attend the next one?
We prefer that graduates attend the correct graduation ceremony. However, we may be able to accommodate special circumstances. Please reach out to us at marketing@collegeforartsandtech.com
I would like my preferred name to be read aloud as I cross the stage. What should I do?
The online registration form will provide you with an opportunity to let us know how you would like to be addressed as you are called up to walk across the stage. If you forget to do so on the form, please email us at marketing@collegeforartsandtech.com.
When will I receive my actual diploma?
At the conclusion of a program, a graduation audit takes place, and this audit can take up to 30 days. Upon completion of the audit, graduate info is sent to Finance to confirm all grads are in good financial standing. Once confirmed, all graduates eligible to receive a diploma will be contacted to choose whether you’d like to pick up your diploma on campus, or have it mailed to you. If you have paid in full for your program, you can expect to receive your diploma within 2 months of your program completion.
How long will the ceremony last?
If everything runs smoothly, the ceremony should last no more than 2 hours. Please listen to all instructions preceding and during the ceremony. Your attention and cooperation will help to keep the ceremony running on time.
Are guests allowed to bring cameras and video recorders to the grad ceremony?
Absolutely. We simply ask that they respect those around them, including other guests, and our professional film crew and photographers.
If I register for grad but then am unable to attend, will my name still be read aloud during the ceremony?
If you registered online for the ceremony but are not unable to attend, you must inform us. Please email us at marketing@collegeforartsandtech.com. Only graduates in attendance at the ceremony will have their name read aloud. Any grads not at the ceremony will still appear in the official ceremony program.
Where do my guests and I park for the ceremony?
Public parking around the Kelowna Community Theatre is readily available, however, there may be other events happening downtown and as such, we recommend that you arrive with ample time to find suitable parking. Please see the city of Kelowna’s parking information page for additional information.

Can my guests purchase their own tickets?
Yes, your guests can purchase their own tickets, however they must use your email and password that you created for the Kelowna Community Theatre’s Online Box Office. They must be logged in to claim free tickets or purchase additional paid tickets. If you need assistance with your Box Office account, please contact the theatre at 250-469-8940.
